Cristina Cillo

Director of Adult Programs
Cristina was born and grew up in a small town close to Benevento, Italy. She earned a Bachelor Degree in Law at the “Universita’ degli studi di Benevento” and obtained a Master’s Degree in “Professioni Legali“ at the “Universita’ Federico II’’ in Naples where she also worked as teaching assistant. In Naples, Cristina worked as a Lawyer for civil cases, and since 2011 she has been an honoree in Advanced Civil Law at the University of Naples “Federico II”. Cristina moved to New Jersey in 2013 and began working as an assistant Lawyer for immigration cases. Her passion for teaching was what lead her to our team in 2017. At the Italian School NJ, Cristina conducts several adult classes with enthusiasm and passion, teaching not only the language but also the Italian culture. Cristina has been instrumental in revising our adult classes’ curriculum and continues to research teaching methodologies to not only improve our procedures but also to incorporate the Italian culture. Her goal has been to make the lessons more interesting and engaging. In Cristina’s free time she loves to cook, travel, and spend time with her family.
