We believe in teaching Italian from an early age. We offer classes for children ages 2.5-14 so they can learn Italian as a second language or learn and build new skills.

Weekly Youth Classes

Our weekly youth classes are located at our main location: 49 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, New Jersey.

Courses are offered in the Fall (late September-end of February) Late Fall (mid-November-April) and Spring. (Immediately following after the Fall semester until the end of May).  
Students can join an ongoing class based on teacher’s approval.
Tuition: $480,  14 classes, 1.5 hour, includes ALL materials

 

Cuccioli: 2.5-3.5 years old
Coccinelle: 4 – 6 years old

Play-based curriculum that evolves around age-appropriate activities and “full immersion”.
Mondays: 3:00-4:30p
Wednesdays: 3:00-4:30p
Wednesdays: 4:30-6:00p
Fridays: 10:00-11:30a


Scoiattoli: 6-8 years old (K and 1st grade)

Farfalle: 8-10 years old (2nd - 4th grade)
A very structured, “theme based” curriculum, that will focus is on listening and comprehension and the ability to speak, read and write in Italian.
Mondays: 4:00-5:30p
Wednesdays: 4:30-6:00p

Fringuelli: 10-13 years old (5th – 7th grade)
Structured sequential curriculum that incorporates listening and comprehension, ability to speak, read and write Italian.
Mondays: 4:00-5:30p
Wednesdays: 4:00-5:30p

Giraffe: 14 years and up
This particular program is best suited to the high school student who is interested in transitioning into higher-level Italian classes, improving their grades in their current Italian class, or to those who need extra assistance outside of a classroom setting.

The Saturday program is 2.5 hours long and incorporates other activities such as soccer, through Morris Elite Soccer Academy, gymnastic, games, dance, all in Italian! Classes are held Chatham Day School, 700 Shunpike Road, Chatham NJ, a state-of-the-art school where students enjoy smart boards, gym, and a theater. 
Tuition: $780,  14 classes, 2.5 hour, includes ALL materials

For those children who have transferred to America from Italy and are looking to continue their Italian education or for those children who are born here but have native Italian parent/s, Italian School NJ is a perfect choice.
