In person classes are held at our East Hanover location, 49 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ.
At Italian School NJ, conversation skills are a priority for both our staff and our students. Having encountered many adult students who were frustrated with their lack of fluency after years of study, we devised a curriculum that gives priority to conversation, while concomitantly enhancing the conceptual understanding of the language through a thorough explanation of the grammatical structures. Our goal is to create an encouraging environment to learn the Italian language by providing small classroom sizes and individual attention to all students. Student-to-student interaction and repetition are paramount in creating an environment that both encourages and enhances verbal skill, and we put a premium upon ensuring that each student reaches both the benchmarks set forth by our curriculum, as well as their own personal goals. Learn or brush up your Italian in few weeks! Do you want to have a basic introduction to the Italian language in short time? Do you need to brush up your Italian that you studied a long time ago? Do you want to become more fluent? Italian School NJ has a program for you where adults will attend classes twice a week and therefore will have more exposure to the Italian language to reinforce their learning.
Once a Week Adult Summer Classes (in person and online):
Tuition: $295 (6 classes, 1.5 hour each for in person classes and 9 classes, 1 hour each for online)

Online conversation sessions for Intermediate & Advanced only
Gain fluency practicing your Italian with our teacher and fellow students. Students will placed in classes based on their abilities. Placement for ongoing classes for new students is based on teacher’s approval.

Book Club for Intermediate & Advanced only - 4 Classes - meet every other week
Explore Italian literature with our knowledgeable teachers. Students will read an Italian book on their own and will discuss with the teacher and in class. Classes will meet every other week to give students enough time to complete their reading.
