“For many years I have wanted to learn the Italian language. Two and one half years ago, I enrolled in a language school in NJ. However, there were several reasons that prompted me to search for a new school.  I have been enrolled in the Italian School  NJ since October, 2016.  Prior to enrolling, I was required to take a placement test.  Even though it was challenging for me, I was impressed with the level of professionalism displayed at this new school.  Upon placement, I was warmly welcomed by my new instructor and my fellow classmates.  The class size is small which is beneficial.  We all received a book and a new tote bag the first day of class.  My instructor plans her lessons and presents her instructions using several different modalities.  We also review conjugations at every class.  The next day, we receive an email reviewing the previous lesson and our homework assignment.  Our instructor also encourages us to email her with any questions we may have.  I am very pleased with Italian School NJ, especially knowing that Marilisa and Natalia have a strong presence there, and a sincere interest in our learning the Italian language and culture.

“I am so happy that I signed up for a course!  I am learning so much in a short period of time.  The class is small enough that we all can practice our Italian and learn from each other.  Our instructor Gabriela is perfect for me.  She makes the course interesting and fun and is flexible enough to “go with the flow”and take us on little “language side trips” as needed, while maintaining the structure necessary to learn a new language.  And although I did some online learning prior to attending the Italian School course, my goal is to travel back to Italy and be able to have an impromptu conversation with just about anyone.  In that regard, attending in-person lessons as offered by the Italian School is essential to anyone who really wants to learn the language and be confident enough to converse with someone.  The Italian School has been a great investment for me and I intend to continue my learning there.”

"Cristina makes it fun and I really like the curriculum."

“I am attending the Monday morning class with Cristina.  I have taken classes at other schools, (Berlitz, Princeton adult school, private instruction and even tried the Rosetta Stone).  In the last 5 weeks with Cristina, I have learned more about the language and understanding the basics better than with all previous schools combined. Cristina makes it fun and I really like the curriculum. For this reason, we were so happy to find the Italian School NJ.  ISNJ sets itself apart for our family particularly because it offers specialized classes for bilingual children. It was important for us to enroll in a language program in which our son could continue to utilize, expand, and perfect his knowledge of Italian. This is our third semester at Italian School of New Jersey and we are very satisfied with the program.  We have been happy with the instructors.
